We're seeking a Principal Demand Planner who designs and implements a stocking strategy to optimize resource utilization, improve performance and ensure high availability of cloud infrastructure. An ideal candidate possesses a deep experience in understanding emerging business needs, developing data analytics, creating scenario analysis, and partnering with supply management functions. The Principal Demand Planner possesses advanced knowledge of process improvement, and actively drives iteration and new takeaways into the inputs and methods for strategic inventory management including buffering demand, warehousing, and optimizing field inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, iterate, and maintain a buffer-stocking strategy at the customer, initiative, SKU, and geo level. The plan will enable OCI to meet growing/shifting customer demand by predicting and mitigating risks of shifts to planned demand and supply.

  • Iterate on stocking strategy based on performance metrics, feedback loops, strategic goals, business trends, and inputs from customers

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and drive alignment on policies that meet business objectives.

  • Identify risks and develop prioritized, effective, flexible, and durable mitigation strategies.

  • Facilitate healthy balance between long range planning and short-term execution. Understand end to end supply chain flow to help ensure customer demand is met.

  • Collaborate with product management to understand product lifecycle, transition, and how that impacts the stocking strategy.

  • Provide direct inputs and analysis of data to management, finance, and operational teams in creating and maintaining the corporate S&OP process.

  • Develop routine and ad-hoc demand analyses and reports for senior management.

  • Develop and analyze performance metrics to find opportunities for improvement and corrective action.

  • Develop standardized processes that include feedback loops to enable continuous improvements. Develop vision and requirements to automate standardized processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields

  • 5+ years’ relevant experience within demand planning, capacity planning or forecasting

  • Extensive experience in developing demand plans and forecasts for new and existing products

  • Understand impact of revenue goals, customer usage, overhead and buffer, data center space and power availability on capacity management.

  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and meet deadlines with a strong desire to execute tasks with quality and a sense of urgency.

  • Advanced in Excel modeling and building complex forecasting models with multiple inputs to drive recommendations and decisions

  • Ability to both dive deep into data and synthesize findings and insights for exec level communication

  • Expert in Excel data analytics to drive action and outcome

  • Experienced in working with VPs and Executives

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads.

  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results.

  • Experienced with infrastructure hardware, memory, CPU, JBoDs, servers, etc. Ability to read and interpret product BOM and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies.

  • Thrive in ambiguity and ability to make high judgement decisions from ambiguous context.

  • Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and draw conclusions.

  • Maintain key operational metrics that measure demand planning performance driving continuous improvement.

  • Experience with building and improving business processes.

  • Working proficiency of SQL.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $87,800 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
