Location of the position

This role is available at our EU HQ in Amsterdam. We will move our office to Haarlem (greater Amsterdam) later this year.

Other locations are near our sites and tapi offices in Hungary, Italy, Czech Republic or Croatia.

The opportunity

Build relationships within existing innovative companies and biotech companies to become the CDMO partner of choice for their early stage through Phase 2b/3 candidates. Accelerate growth of the CDMO business within TAPI by increasing the win rate on RFP’s with potential and existing customers. Provide optimal customer experience to this high touch client base.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Work closely with the business intelligence group to identify new potential clients based on technologies TAPI’s network can support.

  • Build relationships and business with new clients in the relevant region assigned, assuring to meet KPI’s and targets set.

  • Increase win rate with clients.

  • Work closely with the program management team from the RFP process through the stages of the project with the client.

  • Focus on early-stage opportunities between pre-clinical to Phase 2b/3 with biotech and innovative pharmaceutical companies.

  • Assure optimal customer experience for clients throughout the entire process working with TAPI.

  • Accelerate growth of the CDMO business, by meeting or exceeding KPI’s set.

  • Provide support to the RFP process (and the program manager) from Kick of till proposal submission, within customer's requirements (qty and timeline), based on TAPI's costing models

  • Support client projects from Request for Proposal (RFP) through commercialization.

  • Ensure the RFP is created to best in class for submission to Customer after alignment with internal stakeholders

  • Defining the scope and objective of a project once it is awarded.

  • Assessing risks – managing risks and contingency plan of a project. Learnings from mistakes and trouble shooting to prevent recurrence of issues in project.

  • Regular communication with Customers and internal stakeholders on progress and flagging risks in advance. Ensure deliverables to project timelines in line with customer expectations. Engage in periodic telecons/ meetings and send reports to customer on the project.

  • Maintain high level of relationship with customers

  • Be available as a point contact for customer whenever needed for the project.

  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure optimal customer support

  • Support governance process on big pharma and CDMO with relevant information.

  • Manage our clients with white glove service to enhance stickiness and overall project portfolio with them.

  • Frequent travel as required to meet objectives and support customer needs.

Your experience and qualifications

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical experience in CDMO Business Development and/or CDMO Key Account Management, ideally with early stage through Phase 2b/3.

  • CDMO Pharmaceutical industry experience required.

  • B2B Pharmaceutical industry experience required.

  • Pertinent professional education: Master of Science in Chemistry; preferable PhD in Organic Chemistry

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Strong leadership skills and capabilities.

  • Executive presence with proven ability to influence others.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across different levels of the organization.

  • Strong strategic agility and business acumen.

  • High potential for development.
