Amazon Sr. Technical Program Manager, EV Charging & Infrastructure Products in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Amazon is building the largest EV fleet and charging network in the world as part of our Climate Pledge. The Sr. Technical Program Manager will oversee the testing and development of new programs that involve software and hardware interaction to control load, and vehicle-charger communication. You'll be joining a fast-paced team building from zero-to-one. The ideal candidate for this role will be 1) highly customer-obsessed, 2) excited to manage hardware products with software integrations, 3) interested in applying their engineering skills within a TPM role, and 4) and a strong communicator.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage testing of new products (with software and hardware components) end to end

  • Analyze and interpret test results

  • Coordinate with charging and vehicle vendors to develop features and fix bugs

  • Report on program progress and risks to leadership

A day in the life

You'll start the morning off by reviewing data from the latest round of testing for a new load balancing solution. You'll write up a summary of the data to share with our engineering team and program leadership. You'll then review results with our third party vendors to discuss any feature improvements they need to make to meet our requirements.

Then, you'll join a PRD (product requirements doc) review where you'll provide input on requirements and roadmap for energy management products.

In the afternoon, you'll review test cases for piloting a new vehicle-to-charger communication protocol with our EV manufacturers.
