Accountant II Payroll

Responsible for all payroll processing activities, including contract, hourly, weekly payrolls, etc., along with payroll/benefit changes, withholdings, leave accruals, and payroll taxes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete processing of payrolls and reviews the work of others for accuracy and completeness.

• Process payroll changes related to employee salary/position modifications, benefit and retirement changes, employee overloads, etc.

• Coordination with Human Resources for completeness and accuracy of employee payroll records.

• Generate reports for use in reconciling third-party billings, withholdings, payroll taxes, etc. and processes third-party payments to vendors.

• Assist employees with questions, paperwork, and payroll requirements to ensure customer satisfaction and accurate payroll processing.

• Supervise student hourly employees working within the Payroll Office.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field.
