BASIC FUNCTION:Supervises all activities and assets of the Store including personnel, equipment, inventory, sales, service, buildings, and grounds. Ensures the current and future operating efficiency of the Store through planning, budgeting, and control.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures the timely opening, operation, and closure of the Store.
  • Ensures compliance with Company operations and sales policies.
  • Ensures all equipment is maintained in a businesslike and consistent manner.
  • Maintains accurate records and approves Store payables.
  • Assists in the hiring, training, and disciplining of employees.
  • Plans and implements product knowledge training for store sales staff.
  • Maximizes sales through customer research and relationship building.
  • Works closely with the Materials Manager to ensure the proper care of inventory, equipment, and grounds daily.
  • Reviews monthly sales reports with employees to promote improvements.
  • Reviews operating expenses and sales budgets monthly and makes adjustments.

  • Administrative skills including work assignment, budgeting, auditing, coaching, counseling, discipline, evaluating, planning, record-keeping, reporting, selection, termination, supervision, and training.
