OILES AMERICA CORPORATION Maintenance Tech 3rd shift in Concord, North Carolina

Oiles America Corporation, an innovator in self-lubricating bearing technologies, is seeking aMaintenance Techfor our North Carolina facility. This candidate is responsible for facilities, manufacturing, and project related tasks. General building facilities maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, alarm system, grounds, recycling, scheduling hazardous waste pick up; security/fire alarm system and the required annual testing for systems by internal or external means. Support manufacturing by providing mechanical and technical troubleshooting expertise, conduct repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance to reduce unscheduled downtime and improve manufacturing stability.Are you the one we are looking for? Qualification Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred further education or training in maintenance related studies (machining, HVAC, electrical, PLC, etc.)
  • Preferred 3 years manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience including facility work.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong team building and communications skills.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and understand English in a manner that is sufficient for effective communication to accomplish responsibilities and tasks.
  • Computer skills including word, outlook, excel, and power point skills desired.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, bearings, lubrication, drives, sensors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, and vision systems.
  • Strong knowledge of print reading and machine design.

Essential Functions

  • Serve on OAC Environmental Management System team, act as Emergency Response Coordinator, Spill Team Member, and First-Aid Responder.
  • Oversee and coordinate all building maintenance including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Coordinate pick up of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including preparing and submitting required paperwork.
  • Obtain quotes as assigned relative to facilities or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Coordinate vendors for replacement parts, spares, and major repair jobs
  • Coordinate required testing of building systems (security, fire alarm, sprinkler, etc.) by external resources.
  • Perform various facility maintenance including electrical, plumbing, replacement of lighting fixtures, fabrication/project work, etc. as needed.

``` - Perform machine troubleshooting, repairs, and coordinate modifications with engineering as needed on production equipment. - Perform scheduled preventive/predictive maintenance on equipment. - Assist with equipment changeovers as needed to support production and quality standards.

``` - Assist with special projects such as equipment moves, work cell set up, and equipment installation. - Complete scheduled project work according to assigned deadlines. - Communicate necessary schedule changes for projects to leadership.

``` - Complete required reports and provide detailed status updates. - Adhere to all third-party certifications related to maintenance. - Provide training to applicable staff to support goals and objectives. - Complete required paperwork on a timely basis.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work around oils and lubricants.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and reach to accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lb (with assistance if required).
  • Availability for call in weekday or weekend/holiday work.
  • Ability to operate hand-powered lifts, tools, and equipment such as grinders, lathes, etc.
  • Ability to work at above ground level (aerial/scissor lift) to perform electrical or other work.
  • Ability to effectively hold and utilize small hand tools and fasteners.
  • Able to visually detect small defects in machine parts or tooling.
  • Able to he r buzzers, horns, and/or warning signals emitted by equipment or alarms.
