Description

Robert Half is working with a local Des Moines industrial company in search of an Accounting Manager to lead a team of accounting professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic financial insights to senior management. This Accounting Manager will be directly responsible for month-end accounting, financial statements, budget/forecasting, tax compliance, financial reporting, direct team management as well as ad-hoc projects. This is the right-hand to the CFO and looked at as an integral part of the leadership team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting/leadership or progressive accounting roles

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Proven experience in managing and developing an accounting team.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
