DESCRIPTION OF WORK This temporary position is currently allocated for 17 pay periods (equivalent to 34 weeks) within each fiscal year. These seasonal roles play a crucial role in guaranteeing that maintenance areas have the necessary workforce to uphold the facilities in their respective regions during the peak months of the year. The maintenance of access areas is vital in ensuring that accesses and ramps are secure for public use.

Moreover, this specific role will enable teams of two individuals to work together, ensuring that no one is left to work alone and that all tasks assigned to them can be completed safely. These tasks include activities such as mowing access areas, maintaining dam breasts, installing docks, putting up signage, weed eating, picking up litter, and carrying out minor maintenance repairs on dams and spillways.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Seasonal, full-time employment

This position does not receive medical benefits. Paid time off accrues after working 750 regular (non-overtime) hours in each calendar year.

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

There may be occasional travel, overnights, weekend, evening, holiday, or overtime work.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Conditions of Employment:

You must possess a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
