ProTech, LLC Installation and Service Technician in Gibsonburg, Ohio

ProTech, LLC is looking for entry level mechanical installation candidates who are willing to travel throughout the country as we support our customers in the plastics industry. Our core business involves the installation of blow molding equipment that makes plastic bottles. This is an extremely stable business in all economic conditions, since the majority of the bottles are made for food packaging. We are willing to train and develop the individual skill sets required to be successful, but having a background or education that includes mechanical work, automotive/equipment repair, carpentry, welding, fabrication, or electrical experience would be very helpful. Some of the core responsibilities will include: •Installing material handling systems for the plastic resin and scrap •Installing conveyor systems that move the empty plastic bottles through the plant •Rigging molding machines in and out of facilities •Setting storage silos and bins •Fabrication and welding of supports and ducts •Process piping for both water and air •Control wiring and installation/setup of system controls •Loading and unloading of equipment with forklifts •Scissor lift and boom lift operation This will be full-time work with a high travel demand, but we try to average 10 days on the road and 4 days down in between. Our workdays are usually 10hrs so this allows you to generate a considerable amount of overtime when traveling. Since our work weeks can also cross over into different payroll periods and create short week situations, we calculate overtime at both "OT over 8hrs/day" and "OT over 40hrs/week". For example, if your payroll week only had three 10hr workdays in it, you would still get your 6hrs of OT even though you didn't reach 40hrs for the week. We feel this is a fair way to reward our employees for their commitment to travel. We also pay at full rate for travel and your travel time counts towards overtime as well, which is different from many companies who pay a lower wage for travel hours. Our crews stay and Holiday Inn Express/Hampton Inn type properties and get their own room for personal space. We cover the cost of the lodging, but you are welcome to accrue and keep your own reward points to use for personal travel in the future. A $50/day per diem is included when traveling to offset your meal expenses and we pay through your lunch period as well. If we just assume a standard of 250 workdays per year at a typical starting wage, that is an additional $17,500 per year of income for our employees. Since every candidate may bring a different level of experience and education, the starting wage will be determined on an individual basis. However, our typical starting range with some level of experience is usually between $18/hr - $20/hr. Please keep in mind the overtime mentioned earlier, which can generate 30hrs of OT on a full week and 6hrs on the average short week. With a full work schedule at an average starting wage, coupled with the per diem and paid lunch benefits, this can allow you to earn upwards of $70,000/yr in an entry level position. We also offer a full range of employment benefits, including insurance and 401K with a company match. Successful candidates will need to have a valid drivers license and pass a background check. Please send your resume to service@protech-llc.com or you can find an application online at www.protech-LLC.com. You are also welcome to call at 419-552-4617.
