Excet, A Precise Systems Company, Excet Inc. is seeking to immediately hire a Corrosion Control Technician who will specialize in training US Naval Ships’ Force in proper corrosion control maintenance of Combat Systems, Communications, Computers, Command and Control and Internet (C5I) systems.

All work is performed on-site, in Mayport, Florida, 5 days per week

Duties:

  • The candidate will be a member of a Corrosion Control Assistance Team (CCAT), comprised of a Team Lead, two HM&E Corrosion Technicians, the C5I Corrosion Technician, and a Tool Technician

  • The CCAT provides shipboard instruction for optimized Organizational-Level corrosion control maintenance, emphasizing appropriate tools, training, technical expertise, and appropriate technology introduction

  • The ultimate goals is to improve the effectiveness of Ships’ Force corrosion control efforts and enhance ship material readiness while reducing total service life cost

  • The C5I Technician will be integrated in the CCAT Team’s activities while concentrating on C5I system project training

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience:

  • Related military experience, high school diploma, trade/industrial school graduate, or GED equivalent

  • NACE Certified Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level I or SSPC Protective Coatings Inspector Program (PCI) Level 2.

  • Seven (7) years of experience that is related to electronics and combat systems corrosion control maintenance on U.S. Navy ships/submarines and/or U.S. Coast Guard boats

  • Experience with Electromagnetic Environmental Effects including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and methods to mitigate problems including but not limited to proper bonding straps, weather sealing, and fastener selection

  • Experience with processes and requirements as they pertain to shipboard organizational level corrosion control of C5I systems

  • Working knowledge of corrosion control technologies and procedures

    Preferred Experience:

  • Thorough knowledge of surface preparation tools, corrosion control techniques, and coating systems used on U.S. Navy and/or Coast Guard ships/submarines/boats

  • Experience teaching/training Ships’ Force

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination. As such Under the SCA selected candidates are entitled to both the hourly rate aforementioned and a health and welfare benefit that equals $4.27 an hour up to 40 hours per week. Precise Systems is meeting that benefit through the use of a bona fide plan which includes certain insurance coverage

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
