Robert Half IT Security Manager in Memphis, Tennessee

Description

Robert Half is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Security Manager to lead our charge in safeguarding our digital infrastructure. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our cybersecurity program. You'll work collaboratively across departments to identify and mitigate security risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and protecting our sensitive data and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Governance: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT security program aligned with industry best practices and relevant compliance frameworks. Craft and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to govern user behavior and system access. Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and prioritize potential weaknesses.

  • Technology & Controls: Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions. Manage the security of network infrastructure, cloud environments, and on-premise systems.

  • Incident Response & Recovery: Develop and maintain a comprehensive incident response plan to effectively address security incidents, including data breaches and cyberattacks. Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, ensuring business continuity and data recovery.

  • Security Awareness & Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and potential threats. Foster a culture of security within the organization.

  • Team Leadership: If applicable, lead and mentor a team of IT security analysts and engineers, providing guidance and ensuring their detail-oriented development.

  • Reporting & Communication: Prepare and deliver regular reports to management on the overall security posture of the organization. Communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments to ensure alignment and collaboration on security initiatives.

  • Budget Management: Manage the IT security budget effectively, allocating resources for optimal security protection.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical IT security role, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing security programs.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.

  • Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls).

  • In-depth knowledge of security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, vulnerability scanning tools).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
