Lockheed Martin Tool/Fab Inspector / CMM Operator - Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Description: Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business area is seeking a Tooling/Fabrication Inspector to join our team.

From ultra-precision machining and additive manufacturing to the development and production of complex optical components and sophisticated electronic systems, Lockheed Martin MFC utilizes the latest capabilities in manufacturing to produce some of the world's most advanced weapon and sensor technology.

A Tooling / Fabrication Inspector performs in-process / courtesy / quality witness / final inspections on machined parts, electro-mechanical, mechanical, composite, integrated systems and various coatings including chemical conversion coating, military grade primer / paint, powder coat and anodize.

Must have the ability to work different shifts (1st shift / 2nd shift/ 3x12 shift Fri-Sun) at times based on seniority prioritization in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.

The Tooling / Fabrication Inspector will also ascertain functionality in accordance with prescribed company and customer requirements and specifications which may be presented to the customer for certification and acceptance prior to shipment.

Inspects mechanical assemblies utilizing Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs) for structural flaws and checks critical dimensions to extremely close tolerances requiring proficient knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.

The candidate should have proficient experience working and navigating on a computer to read / understand work instructions and working in software to capture inspection planning and acceptance.

Proficiency utilizing a variety of precision inspection instruments and gages and performs inspections per drawing criteria including critical dimensions to extremely tight tolerances, fringes on the interferometer and utilization of optical flats for lens seat flatness.

Must have the ability to work overtime including weekends depending on Business Unit needs.

Basic Qualifications:

-Prior Mechanical Quality inspection experience

-CMM experience

-Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

-Engineering/blueprint drawing reading/interpretation.

-Experience utilizing precision measurement tools

-Ability to work with minimal supervision.

-Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Skills:

-SAP experience.

-Tool inspection/Calibration/ Metrology experience.

-Ability to perform manual measurements.

-Experience with aerospace hardware.

-Familiar with military specifications.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
