Amentum Electronic Repair and Test Technician in Point Mugu, California

Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as an Electronic Repair and Test Technician based out of Point Mugu, California. This position will provide maintenance support by operating, repairing, testing, tuning, and maintaining platforms, systems, sub-systems, components and/or obtaining items for aerial targets, land targets, target control and target augmentation and auxiliary system commodities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proven ability to interpret and follow detailed test procedures involving all items within the TCS and TA/AS product lines; set up, operate, program, repair and calibrate generic and special purpose manual and automatic military and commercial test equipment in support of the TCS and TA/AS product lines

  • Refurbish, modify, repair, obtain and enhance units to ensure the quantity of spares, repair parts, support and test equipment are adequate to meet operational requirements.

  • Fabricate and install parts, mounts, brackets and/or installation kits to include cabling, connections, and interconnecting devices.

  • Generate, update, and review technical documentation including but not limited to technical user manuals, maintenance manuals and installation procedures.

  • Provide calibration support to meet laboratory requirements.

  • Update and inventory hardware, installation kits, tools, and equipment, utilizing existing Government inventory systems to update inventory and to ensure accuracy.

  • Perform assessments to determine Ready for Issue (RFI) condition to include:

  • Assist in the observation and/or performance of system and component demonstrations, testing, and/or evaluations.

  • Assist in procedures, perform testing, evaluate, and document results of testing for aerial target components.

  • Assist with recording and documenting technical engineering investigator to resolve issues resulting from failures and anomalies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of specialized experience

  • Must have an active Secret US Government Clearance. Please note that US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.

  • Must be familiar with the Navy’s Competency Aligned Organizational (CAO) structure and the Navy’s Integrated Product Team (IPT) structure.

  • Detail-oriented with technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
