We have a career opportunity for a Senior Corrosion Control Engineer in California. In this position, you’ll lead and deliver Jacobs services in corrosion control studies, designs, construction support, and condition assessments of water, wastewater, treatment, storage, and conveyance projects.

We develop and deliver engineering solutions for a wide range of infrastructure projects and seek an individual with the knowledge, experience, and commitment to integrate corrosion control in our services. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to mainstream projects as well as help solve unique and challenging engineering problems for our clients. Working independently and in coordination with a national corrosion control team, you’ll apply your knowledge and develop your expertise.

As a Senior Corrosion Control Engineer at Jacobs, you’ll use your skills and experience in cathodic protection, protective coatings and linings, materials selection, and condition assessments to support our projects. You will analyze the corrosivity of the environment, perform field tests and surveys, develop alternatives for corrosion control within established design criteria, design the preferred corrosion control systems, specify materials and coatings, and support construction. You will also support business development by meeting with clients and contributing to project proposals.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • Bachelors or Masters in appropriate engineering field.

  • At least 8 years of corrosion control experience.

  • NACE Certifications appropriate to your specialty and level of experience.

  • California Professional Engineering license.

  • Residing in or moving to CA.

  • Ability to commute throughout Northern CA 25% during the week.

  • AMPP 4 Certification preferred. May also consider strong AMPP 3 level certification moving toward AMPP 4 in the near future.

Ideally, You’ll Have Work Experience in Multiple Areas of Corrosion Control Technology:

  • Cathodic protection system planning, design, operation, and analysis

  • Protective coatings and linings specification, inspection, and evaluation

  • Materials selection including corrosion-resistant metals, thermal plastics, and elastomers

  • Buried pipeline corrosion control and condition assessment

  • Water and wastewater treatment plant corrosion control

  • Storage tank corrosion control

  • Condition assessment of facilities affected by corrosion

  • Familiarity with inline inspection and integrity management techniques

The base salary range for this position is $125,100 - $195,450. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
