As a Health, Safety & Radiation Technician in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include: Collection of the daily sewer sample, weekly ambient air samples, and Monthly/quarterly environmental samples Technical assistance with unusual problem solving Interpretation of procedures/practices/regulations/license standards Providing mentoring and training to lower level HSTs as requested Changing out occupational and environmental TLDs Will assist in training Sending out reminders and restrictions for the urine program Surveying and packaging TLDs for shipment Collect and enter weekly urine samples, fecal sampling, preparation and delivery Stock bioassay supplies, collect and submit samples, make program schedule notifications and program compliance notifications Downloading dose tracking touch probes, and uploading touch probe downloads, create and distribute dose tracking report Duties may include work with routine and/or special detection equipment such as distributing and calibrating Radon detectors, lapel calibration and entry of lapel sample information Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow. This position is safety-sensitive and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening is required. Your Total Rewards Package The starting rate for this position is $39.42 per hour. After a successfully completed introductory period the pay increases to $43.80 per hour, and may also include annual incentives and benefits.
