Teradyne Field Application Engineer in San Jose, California

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced team lead to join Teradyne.

The Applications Team Leader will manage a small group of application engineers working with customer to develop test solutions for various customer devices. In this role, you will manage the application team and work with sales and engineering to prioritize development plans to ensure delivery of solutions on time to meet customer’s requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Application Engineers to develop ATE test solutions for customer IC devices.

• Manage technical interface to customer, understand customer requirements and drive test solution development.

• Manage project development, monitor milestones, and release to production.

• Plan and schedule daily tasks using judgement on a variety of problems requiring creative practices to meet the customers’ expectation.

• Work with worldwide field application teams to coordinate customer support activities to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.

• Work closely with different factory teams including marketing, engineering, applications to develop cutting edge automated test solutions and improve performance.

• Provide guidance on employee development and productivity. Motivates team members and assesses performance.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:

• Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent.

• 5+ years ATE experience in developing test solutions for digital, power management IC (PMIC), RF, and mixed-signal devices.

• Knowledge and experience of Teradyne testers, UltraFlex and IGXL, is a plus.

• Project management and team management experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Good leadership and strong interpersonal skills.

• Travel both domestic and international as needed.

• Able to handle dynamic work environment with pressure and quick changes.
