This role is not part of the Diageo Organization. Balcones is a separate entity owned/affiliated by Diageo. This hire will be employed directly through the Balcones Company and will be eligible for Balcones Benefits and Compensation Package

GA/KY/TN/SC Regional Sales Manager, Balcones

Balcones Distilling is looking for a highly motivated, accountable, and results driven, sales professional to lead market execution in Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina! The Regional Manager will be responsible for leading and maintaining working relationships across multiple distributor partners, educate customers on the brand, Texas Whiskey and the American Single Malt category, as well as conduct tasting and experiential events. This role will require approximately 50% travel within the dedicated region.

Sales Route Responsibility

  • Educate consumers and gatekeepers about the Balcones brand, Texas Whiskey, and the American Single Malt/Grain category.

  • Conduct tasting and experiential events in the market/region (GA/KY/TN/SC).

  • Coverage of local non-premise events that provide significant consumer/trade opportunities.

  • Ensure optimal brand execution in both the On and Off Premise (Shelf Standards/Menu)

  • Expand sustainable distribution in the market/region.

  • Maintain and develop a key account list with emphasis on increasing VPA.

  • Visit an average of 30 accounts per month across all sales channels.

  • Coordinate distributor work withs to collaboratively sell in.

  • Conduct market surveys to better understand the American Whiskey landscape and efficient in trade brand positioning.

Financial Responsibility

  • Deliver agreed-upon AOP depletion targets, NSV & profit targets

  • Collaborate with distributor branch management on how to invest in highest ROI programming.

  • Run a sampling and T&E budget.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • College graduate with 5+ shown experience working across a diverse beverage alcohol distributor network preferred (Open, Control and Franchise states).

  • Direct customer experience preferred.

  • Distributor experience/management a plus.

  • Encouraged to be extremely self-motivated and goal-oriented.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are required.
