We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Civil Superintendent with federal highways experience.

The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality and contractual obligations.

What does the position do?

  • Plans and directs all construction activities on the project.

  • Supervises and mentors all field staff and provides constructive feedback.

  • Coordinates all labor, materials, and equipment for the project.

  • Creates "three week" look ahead schedules and reviews them project manager, subcontractors and clients.

  • Reads and understands construction plans and scope of work thoroughly to prepare action plans.

  • Partners with project manager to track project schedule and budgets.

  • establishes a safe work environment, facilitates safety meetings, updates safety logs, and documents safety concerns.

  • Maintains clear communication channel with clients and resolves problems as they arise.

  • Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.

  • Implement safety and quality guidelines.

  • Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance.

  • Communicate with clients and internal team on project progress

  • Produces daily reports and submits them in a timely manner

What will top candidates bring to the table?

  • 5 years experience as a Construction Superintendent.

  • Ability to manage projects, resources and teams.

  • Knowledge of local quality, safety, and health guidelines for construction job sites.

  • Understands construction drawings, plans and specifications.

  • Understanding of project scheduling software
