Sr Manager, Application Engineering

Job Description

As a manager of the application engineering team for MCU tools and Ecosystems you will manage the development and production of new evaluation boards and solutions for the automotive MCU series. You will work closely to product marketing teams as well as to board design teams

In your new role

• Lead a team creating new Renesas automotive solutions.

• Collaborate internally with Application Engineers and Product Marketers and externally with customers and partners.

• Provide applications’ training to FAE, Sales, Distributors, and customers.

• Present Renesas’ technologies, products, and applications in technical seminars.

• Development- and Production-management of hardware- and software-solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of study.

• Minimum 12 years of related work experience

• Understand automotive system technical requirements and propose optimized products and solutions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, development tools and ecosystems

• Solid technical background with hands-on experience in hardware /software development.

• Motivated to initiate and drive projects to completion with an open mind for working in an international environment.

• Good sense of understanding technical requirements and customer expectations

• Good knowledge of development and manufacturing costs for commercial evaluation of the best system solution.

• Strong interpersonal skills; able to clearly articulate complex topics

• Skilled in project management (planning, milestone tracking)

• Able to effectively lead, motivate, and influence local/remote workers.

• Fluent in English and German with excellent communication skills.

• Result-oriented, self-organized, self-motivated with independence of thought.
