Neya Systems LLC Accounting Specialist in Warrendale, Pennsylvania

Our main center of gravity is in Pittsburgh, and we have teams in RI and CO.

This position is hybrid in our Warrendale, pA headquarters. Local candidates will receive preference.

The Neya team is growing, and we are looking for an Accounting Specialist to support our existing Accounting Staff. This successful individual will support accounting with all daily functions and with motivation to work within a challenging environment .  If you are a team player who is self-driven, please consider applying to this role.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Responsible for supporting all general accounting functions of the division including, but not limited to invoice generation and tracking, standardized reporting, budgeting, payroll processing, journal entries, contract profitability analysis, labor forecasting, purchasing and other accounting and financial tasks

  • Work with corporate accounting and related departments on behalf of the division

  • Research accounting records to assist in the identification and resolution of problems or irregularities of accounting information 

  • Support internal and external (DCAA/DCMA) standard audits Support the maintenance of accounts and records in such areas as earnings, profits, taxes, and other financial areas

    What You’ll Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related business degree

  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience

  • Familiarity with DCAA rules and/or federal contracting is preferred

  • An expert with Microsoft Office, especially with Microsoft Excel

  • Must be able to utilize independent judgment in establishing the accuracy and reasonableness of information

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting

  • Able to work independently, and have the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, clients, and vendors

  • Ex cellent communication, math, analytical and organizational skills

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems within tight timeframes

  • Ability to take initiative to identify outstanding tasks and see them through to completion

  • Experienced with using Adobe Acrobat to create, edit and sign PDF documents

  • Assist with other projects/duties as assigned

  • Candidates must be able to pass a background check, including a favorable credit check

  • US Citizen

    How To Stand Out:

  • Experience with government contracting accounting systems (Costpoint, or other DCAA compliant system)

  • Working knowledge of federal contracts and working knowledge of FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements

  • Self-sufficient with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
