Brief Summary of Work for this Position

The Case Manager provides a blended function of case management services, including referral, follow up, and coordination of care with off campus providers; this includes conducting initial assessments for students seeking counseling, engaging in non-clinical student consultations, and maintaining relationships with off campus providers.

Other duties include:

  • Participating in the development and delivery of proactive, psycho-educational programming initiatives and participating in the after-hours/on-call rotation
  • Providing general and clinical supervision services, as needed and as able, based on licensure level and status
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with campus colleagues, consultation and outreach programming for the campus community and other administrative duties as requested or assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Master's Degree in social work, counseling, clinical or counseling psychology, with at least 1 year of experience in case management or a closely related position. Experience working as part of a case management support team is also acceptable
  • Experience providing counseling and/or case management services to a college aged population as well as working with the issues and concerns exhibited in a college aged population
  • Experience providing crisis intervention services
  • Experience developing professional relationships with community providers
  • Experience in developing and providing psycho-educational programming for a college-aged population
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and writing skills

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Sk lls and Experience

  • Terminal degree in social work, counseling, clinical or counseling psychology, with at least 2 years of experience providing counseling and/or case management services within a college counseling center setting is strongly preferred. Current licensure as a LCSW, or LCSW-A
  • Experience with administration, progressive outreach programming, and campus consultation services
  • Professional association involvement
  • Additional expertise in at least one other area including but not limited to multicultural concerns, crisis management, substance abuse, supervision, technology or data/records management

Required Certifications or Licensures

Licensed as a

LCSW,

LCSW-A, or be

LCSW-A eligible in the State of North Carolina. Once licensed, NC licensure must be maintained to remain eligible for employment
